BIG NEWS for Mountain Pine High School! 

We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Calvin Walker has been named the Principal of Mountain Pine High School for the 2026-2027 school year! 

Many of you already know Mr. Walker as a powerhouse in our district—whether he’s teaching 5th/6th-grade math, coaching archery and trap shooting, or leading our Lighthouse Team. As a Cohort 7 IMPACT Arkansas Fellow and a recent Master’s graduate from the University of Arkansas, Mr. Walker brings a wealth of leadership and a "student-first" heart to his new role.

In his own words: "I have prayed about this challenge and it is real now. I cannot wait to start the next journey." Get ready to see a lot more of him! Mr. Walker is known for his "traveling desk" philosophy, meaning you’ll find him in the classrooms and hallways supporting our students every single day.
